User Catching

i need to know if user catching is considered cheap or not.

user catching is not cheap. taking control of the receiver and zig zagging them cause the defender is in man and then catching is.... the act of user catching is not though...

But I would add that the WR controller should have to do a motion like the defensive player has to do to catch the ball, so in other words turn off user catch assist or make the game play All Madden.

its not cheap. all you gotta do is control the defender so he doesnt get put out of position by the zig-zagging. it aint that hard people.

It's a skill that like anything else you either learn or don't care to learn, it can be defended, it's not 100% guaranteed that it will work when your opponent uses it.

Yea you can just control the Defender.. He's usually faster than the reciever. Plus players controlled by the user are faster than players controlled by the CPU. Just control the defender. It's not cheap, zig-zagging isnt cheap either everyone does it.

1 thing i want to add to my comment is it is cheap when the other person just throws it up over and over again hoping to get lucky

I WANT TO SEE ALL OF YOU USE IT NEXT YEAR WHEN THE BULLET PASSES ARE BACK ON. I BET NONE OF YOU USE IT. THE ONLY REASON IT MAY BE CONSIDERED CHEAP IS BECAUSE EA F'ED UP BY NOT HAVING BULLET PASSES IN THE GAME WHICH MAKES IT EASY FOR THE WR TO ZIG ZAG AND THE DB FOLLOWS ( NOT IN REAL FOOTBALL). IT'S AN ERROR THAT MOST PLAYERS TAKE ADVANTAGE OF AND DOES REQUIRE SKILL TO PULL IT OFF, BUT WHEN CONTROLLING THE DB IT DRAWS PASS INTERFERENCE WAY TO OFTEN. IN MY OPINION IT'S NOT CHEAP IT'S JUST LAME JUST LIKE THE LOB PASSES. LIKE I HAVE SAID MANY TIMES I MISS 08' IT WAS MORE FOOTBALL LIKE THEN THIS VERY SHITTY VERSION OF SUPER MARIO MADDEN.

Zig-zag user catching is unrealistic, but not cheap cause it can be stopped. I dont zig-zag though, i really only user catch (normally that is) when i see my receiver isnt in good position to catch the ball.

not even remotely cheaps its a mismatch taht you lost 2 man under stops this shit cold 9\10 times so man up

It is not cheap, if you were a receiver on the field you would juke, zig, zag, stop, start, cut, spin, etc...
All to get the defensive back to fall for a fake move and get you wide open for the catch.

How many of you have actually been on the field and played the QB or receiver?

I know becouse no 1 catches on me but lol it does not matter now there arer no more user catches

People just need to understand that just because you have a CB on someone does not mean that you are goign to get shutdown. Infact my offense and confidence is to the poitn where if i even THINK you have 1 safety deep there is a 100% chance i am goign to take you deep up the ass so u all better learn how to press A and then make a little loop pattern.

Just to clarify also- i will most likely be writing an article on how to user catch and defend but this is a hgeu myth i am goign to dispell

can someone make a video of a user catch so i can see how its done

nbcards, just got into mini camp, catching drills, and run to the circle and stand there and leave the wiimote and nunchuck alone... you will see the receiver raise his hands to try and make the catch... you just run to the spot and the receiver will catch it... it's all about getting position to make the catch...
