I saw my buddy do it once on PS2 about 3 yrs ago (might've been Madden '05). He had a really fast corner with 99 speed come in from the weak side just as the ball was snapped and managed to dive in front of the ball as it was being kicked. It was unbelievable. I've never seen it happen again.

back in madden 05' there was no 99 speed guys so he must have have a made up player in. i don't think that counts, just my opinion

Details were fuzzy, but I know it was a real player. It could've been '06, '05, or whatever. I just know that he used a player from an actual roster with a high speed rating. The whole thing was legit and done in a play now scenario. Besides, PS2 had roster updates so it would be possible for a player to be rated 99, right?

yeah, but no question punt blocking is ridiculously easy this year online. I wish it was more realistic, instead of snapping the punter in half on a big hit, they should make it where you dive in front of the kick and knock it down like you are supposed to.

I actually blocked one online a couple of months ago. Total fluke though, I think the guy had a horrible kick and my corner (not controlled by me) blocked it. I was playing with the Cardinals (it was Rodgers-Cromartie that blocked it I think).
As far as punts go, when I am trying to block them I don't go for the body of the punter to tackle him (I agree this is unrealistic) but I aim for a spot in front of him. Most of the blocks that I have done are pretty realistic (except my guys usually don't dive).

I wish you had video of that game, I've NEVER seen a blocked FG/PAT on Madden. It's impossible to go up the middle like the pro's do...
