Another (Better) Madden 10 Video

To me it seems they are canning the gesture controls?? Like to hike hit A, and to throw point at this guy and hit A??
But I do like the defense side of call your shots kinda thing.

No, it will still be in the game. We just have the option of which style to use.

Actually Cord, Im not sure if the motion controls are an option according to ign's preview of madden 10 on wii:

"Control-wise, much has changed in Madden NFL 10. Gone are the cumbersome 27 gestures used to do things like spin, juke, and leap over incoming tacklers. Most of these moves are now mapped to actual buttons. All-Play controls are still in for those who can't operate nunchuk and the Wii remote at the same time. "

You can still pass the traditional way. We added a brand new passing mechanic, but we didn't take away directional passing.

It's better than 09 but Xbox 360 version will still be wayyy better

No shit, the 360 is made for high graphics capacity. BTW, the PS3 is a MUCH more powerful system than a 360 ;).

They're both cartoonish. What is so special about the "Character Styles" anyways? It just seems to me like it's a way to put less effort into the game by only having 5 character styles...

He's just looking for any excuse to knock the game. It really doesn't look cartoonish when I've seen the in-game demos.

Thank you Gammabomb, this is the first screen from the game I haven't ABSOLUTELY HATED upon first look.Now that you look at it from that angle (which I assume is somewhat similar to the gameplay camera) the defining graphics become less obtrusive, and actually are, in my opinion, pretty darn good. I just didn't like all those close-ups of Troy Polomalu's Mickey Mouse Gameface.

Mafia try to be hopeful about it. I'm sure EA is working hard on it. It looks fine to me and i stated that since day one when th SPIKE trailer came out and there was 4 pages of insults towards EA and the game at the boards. While we may wish that EA had targeted us hardcore players, you caan not blame them for the reverse. While we do repressent a good amount of wii owners, we are not the majority. EA is targeting the casual gamer as these player models show and we are just going to need to get over the fact that they are making a good markiting desision. The game looks good to me regardless and im sure ill be addicted to it no matter what the players look like. Be glad that EA has taken time to listen to us because that is unusual for a big company like that to do so. Good job EA!
