I beg to differ. Walter Jones is like a million years old and Mora will most likely want to run a zone-blocking scheme like he did in ATL. Jason Smith is perfect for that type of system. Oh, and Crabtree isn't there at 4...

good job assuming every team wants to make a pick in their current positions. its so hard to predict who eachteam reallhy wants and where they will actually pick with all the trades that happen (something I wish madden would do better at - cpu initiated trade offers).

I find it interesting that you believe knowshon moreno will fall all the way to the eagles...

from everything that I hear, scouts are way bigger on sanchez than stafford. having said that I doubt the lions will take a qb with the first pick, they will probably take crabtree to stay consitent with their past history (go matt millen) ;)

Yeah, trades are WAY to hard to predict. It's easier not to lol.

Stafford is said to have the tools of any great QB, but it is his consistency that hurts him. He even has great intangibles. I think he can develop into a good QB, and he is ranked ahead of most other QB's. Do NOT listen to Todd McGay or Kiper of ESPN, they really aren't good at all.

This needs to be updated, Andre Smith will not be a high first round pick anymore, based on his stunt at the NFL combines.

I disagree. The only thing he really did was telling the teams that he wasn't going to work out. Sure he might have did it at a bad time, but his potential at his position is enormous. Add in the fact that he could play LT, LG, RG, or RT he brings enormous value with his already high potential.I think he will ultimately end up on the right side, but the Raiders already have a pretty good young LT in Mario Henderson. They played some pretty good teams near the end of the season, and he SHUT OUT guys like Julius Peppers and Mario Williams.

Let's not forget it is the Raiders lol.

No, Andre Smith did WAY worse than just say he wasn't going to work out. He told the people at the Combine that he was "out of shape". RED FLAG. Ok you are a potential Top 10, maybe Top 5, pick; and on one of the most important days to start off your NFL career (The Combine), you show up out of shape??? I know Andre Smith can play ball, he was an absolute monster in that SEC title game. But if hsi work ethic is that poor that he shows up out of shape for the Combine, I would definitely feel weary of taking him.

I agree that you shouldn't listen to most of ESPN's draft analysis people but everything I hear about the QB class this year is that it is one of the poorest classes in quite awhile but Sanchez' stock is thought to be higher cause of the "USC" factor and system he played it.

Stafford has better arm strength than Sanchez but didn't dazzle people this season because his accuracy was sub-par (even with all the weapons that Georgia had). Sanchez was dominant enough to be a dark horse Heisman candidate for awhile this season even though the Trojans were playing teams like the Huskies.

I would be honestly shocked if a QB was taken first this season (not much value in using the #1 draft pick on a QB). If the Lions are really looking at Stafford or Sanchez, they should trade down a few picks for additional picks and still get one of them. I think the Chiefs will get one of the QB's (Stafford or Sanchez) at #3 unless they work a miracle deal with the Pats to get Cassel (which means the Pats would be choosing with the #3 pick).

This RB class is one of the best in recent memory and the WR is an average class (other than Crabtree, Macklin and Nicks). I can't see the first RB being taken as far down as you have them (not with Wells, Moreno, McCoy, Green, and Brown). I bet we see someone buy into the RB hype in the top 10 and select one (Browns move down or Broncos move up).

The Raider will not take Smith after that shit at the combine they will most likly take the best WR on the board. Crabtree could maybe fall because of the injury and I dont think the Raiders would pass him no matter what. But it will be more likly the Raiders take Maclin.

msu - I agree that neither of the QB's should be taken first overall, There's ust too many ?'s at this point, but I think DET will follow the Golden Rule of taking who you think is a franchise QB when you don't have one. I do not think Stafford is a franchise QB, and that Sanchez will be the better player. As for the RB thing, last years class was easily better than this ones. I think Wells could go 5,6,or 12 before 14 to the Saints. IMO the Bengals should really take a look at him, especially if they don't re-sign Benson.

jpfurry - IDK what to do with Andre. He seems like he's enormously talented, but he has a ton of ?'s about him. I wouldn't want, unless e had the intention of playing on the right side. But I don't think that they'll take Maclin. Davis has more of a history going DB and OL in the first round, and they really don't need a DB this year. I think Michael Oher or B.J. Raji is going to be the pick the more that I think about it.

RAMFAN - These are the three that I see STL drafting - Curry, Jason Smith, Eugene Monroe. I think all 3 would be great fits in STL, but I went with Curry because of Spags and the Rams lack of an impact player on defense. I know Long could develop into that, but why not add a little fire to the LB corps. Interestingly enough, I've read on other boards that Crabtree would get serious consideration as well because Holt might get cut and Bennett is already out. Avery + Crabtree = WIN.

oh I've never thought about them drafting Crabtree b/c on other forums I've seen that the rams are going to try to try and get OL for the first few picks than for a pretty good WR and than some DL

IMO they shouldn't go Crabtree, but with a new coaching staff and a FO I think who knows. I do think that the Rams are in a pretty good position though.

I would not be surprised to see Oakland try and move up a bit and get Crabtree..I know he is the guy Davis wants. And they just cut Curry..they have no real go to WR..Yes Higgins is fast and Walker is talented(but he is old and injured)

you are correct they are not in a very good position because they need so many players to be better, if I was the Head coach I would go for a lot of players for my O/D lines and go for my offense during free agency there are some pretty good players in free agency this season.

Oakland definitely needs a WR. I just can't see them taking Maclin at 7 though. As for them moving up, I bet KC at 3 would love to trade down a bit and get some more draft picks. I heard that they are switching to a 3-4, and they need help at the LB position to do that.
