Thanks man, I'd say its approaching 2500. G major 2 was 500, the mesa boogie power amp 450, the preamp was 500, the cab was 400, the power conditioner and rack case was 125, and add in good speaker cables and stuff.

That guitar I got for 20 bucks, because the previous owner basically destroyed it ha. Its a set neck even.

Yeah I love my sound from the mesa rack unit. Ive been playing since 10th grade in HS which is about 7-8 years. I love 60s psychedelic rock, 70s is all classic, 80s rock and metal. Not a big fan of 90s music, a few good songs.

I play alot of stuff like van halen, pink floyd, hendrix, metallica, ozzy, racer x, tons more just cant think right now haha

been getting into some dream theater lately basically anything that kicks ass haha

At parties or fires ill usually do the whole acoustic/singing thing

    What are you into GB?

Well for me im into a lot of Metal...starting back with the basics of some Deep Purple and the true founders of Heavy Metal Sabbath...And some Iron Maiden I have started getting into a little while back...Metallica is good too but only their early stuff for me...Megadeth is my favorite band and Tourniquet coming in at 2nd. And there are other bands too..of course most of the old time classic rock too. And I have actually been getting into Bullet for my Valentine recently and some death metal too. And some of the hardest songs I can play are holy wars and hangar 18 by Megadeth, im still trying to get them down good but I can still play both all the way through.

Billy classic rock is the best. Maybe do you think you can post some vid of you playing, that would be cool. Maybe some metallica would be cool.

O and how much does a guitar cost? I really think it would be cool to play! Do you think it is hard or easy? Id love to play my fav bands music. That would be just incredible for me. Just wondering, do you think a 14 year would be capable of playing band's music. this would be very helpful to me. O and how did you guys learn?

ic thats kool gb, yeah black sabbath and deep purple is great. I think all metallica is great except for st anger and garage days. I really think black album and master of puppets is their best. I know and justice for all is really epic and great but black album and master of puppets is great. Are you mainly a rhythm player or lead? Ever since I started playing I've always been about the leads.

My musical tastes and guitar playing have really been branching off recently. Its going to take like 4 different guitar parts, but I 'plan' on doing the batman begins theme by hans zimmer all on guitar and posting on youtube. Trying to find good video editing software right now.

Menko definately try to get a guitar now. You can prolly get a pack with an electric amp and tuner for around 200, 250 bux. I learned from tab books and tabs back in the day. Now they have powertab and guitar pro which is great. Eventually you'll want to learn music theory but my belief is to start with tabs because you can pick up songs that you actually like and learn techniques of playing.

Maybe i'll post a video wankering around with the mesa boogie.

Billy I find myself that I like both really, but as for what position in a band I would like to be rhythm, I think I can make more riffs and actual songwritting more than lead solos. And Billy I will watch your whole vid when I get a chance.

And menko ya dude start now really the earlier the better in my opinion. And I agree with Billy about the tabs, I still use tabs to this day, but I need to start using my ear now to figure out songs. And ya theory is good right off the bat, just start with the basic minor pentatonic scale and major scale, that will help get your fingers stretched and help you to strengthen them too. And I can help you with getting some good gear for your money, if you want.
