The 30 Things I'm Sick of In Madden 09

Since I was extremely riped off today, I'm very pissed off at how unlucky I am. So I made this list.

What I'm sick of in Wii Madden 09:

1. The fact that blitzes do not stop the run very well in most cases

2. You'll get called for PI if you just poke the guy or not at all. This is football, not basketball.

3. Facemasks - doesn't actually show the facemask like in 08. you can tackle someone by the legs and get called for a facemask.

4. Clipping (I was like WTF when I got called for my first clipping)

5. Holding - just random

6. I Form Twin TE Pitch and Counter - it's ridiculous how it works almost everytime. I have since learned to stop it, but others haven't

7. I Form Normal Sweep - always gets a solid 5-7 yds each time

8. Deep passes - Does a real NFL WR swing away from the ball to catch it? Defenders should really just go to where the ball is going and not just following the WR.

9. Cheesers - they suck and should be banned from Madden. Don't deserve as high of a ranking as they do.

10. The Cover - we are not little 8 yr olds!

11. No Bullets - this has really impacted my offense from 08 to 09. Completely different.

12. Break Tackle Glitch - about 50% of KR TDs occur because of this

13. All Play - who really likes this?

14. Rankings - 67% of the people don't deserve to be there.

15. Disconnects - whenever you get a random disconnect from the server, it counts just as much as 5 wins and you're pretty much back where you started a week ago

16. The ability to create new accounts - you shouldn't be able to create new accounts because new people will have the benefit of playing lvl 20s while the people who started on Day 1 played lvl 1s.

17. No huddle Glitch - where your player won't line up and he'll just dwiddle around the field so it takes like 10 secs just for him to line up

18. QB Avoidance, just creates more sacks and is useless

19. Can't pick own D playbook - you're stuck with the team's playbook you're using

20. Quitting - should be a ban if you have a D/C percentage of over 33%. wouldn't work in 08 but will this year. But EA shouldn't tell anyone this so that way, noobs just won't go to 32% and stop.

21. NFL Facemask Rule - this is different than the normal facemask but sort of ties in with it. 15 yd penalties are too much of a penalty for something that happens in the NFL once a game while it happens on average 2-3 times in Madden.

22. Friendly Quits - there should be a limit as to how many FQs you can do (the same as pauses).

23. Grant Mercy Loop Hole - An obvious form of cheating to avoid a loss.

24. Not counting wins - Aggravation

25. The Whole Ranking system - based off the amount of wins you have. This isn't right. Boricua has no life, he sucks, and he's #2. It should sort of be like the BCS which is based off your wins against good teams over the amount of wins you have. And also by how much you win by so it stops cheesers a little. It's not perfect either, but it's a start.

26. Run Committing - Worked better last year. Now, everyone just runs to where the C is which is in the middle of the field. Then you're screwed if the opponent does a pitch.

27. LT - ...u should know why

28. All overrated teams - 'Boys, Pack, Eagles, Chargers, and Vikings all overrated. you don't have to use a good team to be good. Look at me!
I bet I still missed some, but this is it for now.

29. Bragging when you don't deserve it - This has more to do with the person than the game, but when you recover4 fumbles or you're a cheeser or if you're an eddy and you're bragging that you beat someone good, you should shut your mouth and just try to do that again...you most likely can't.

30. How lucky everyone gets!!!

I'm sure you guys disagree with some of these, I'm sure I missed some, but this is my list of what I'm sick of in Madden 09.

Dropped passes!!!
Big Hits while chasing down a receiver from behind!!!
Absurd ratings- who the hell comes up with these, Stevie Wonder???
Rookie players who are rated high without having played a game.
Wii getting screwed on roster updates.
Screen passes when the QB runs to one side and throws 40 yards back across the field.
Kicking glitch vs quitters

Yea you 2 have basically covered everything, but there's 1 more thing
when you're on D and someone bombs it deep, and if you're eddy or someone else cheap, they user catch but just stop in front of your defenders then start running again and catch the ball almost all the time
so where's the offensive PI?
it's so annoying and you don't get a penalty, but when you touch the receiver with just a finger......automatic 15 yards...
and to me the eagles aren't overrated, but they're my team so i don't care..

what i hate is when ppl constantly choose all their plays from the play type playbook. especially those outside runs

If theres one story to madden 09 for me its the blitz. it has become so udderly effective in so many different ways.

First without bullets its impossible to throw to the middle, making zone blitzes much easier to run.
with QB evade it becomes verry hard to release the ball quickly.
Its still very hard to run on, and if your goign to try to go Big and come out in 1 WR then you can simply aud. Its way to easy to se up for many players
you basicly have to go max protect and go deep every play and with good stick you can blitz 8 and the deep ball wont even thouch you.

when i call drop deep and send 9 guys out in coverage and get beat long every time because the Wrs are faster than the corners or safetys and all the cover men do is follow them. All the WR needs id a step and hes gone.

1 handed catches- When i used the giants Plaxico burres would be wide open for an easy 6 if he caught it on the run. But now he goes up with one hand and drops it or gets tackled immediatly.

I personally think sweeps are only effective if your running back is fast. Most of the time my sweeps (I use the Ravens so it's McGahee, Rice, or McClain) are stopped easily.

Alright, time for me to go off on user catch.

This is one of the most frustrating things in Madden. I know there are people who will say that it's not cheesing, but I disagree. For one thing, the person on offense doesn't have to do a motion to get the catch, they just have to run under it. The defender has to lift up and a lot of times it does the big hit instead of the swat or int attempt. Then there's what eddy said with the offensive player stopping and hitting your WR, no offensive PI. I have seen ONE offensive pass interference call (It was called against Iceman when I played him). To me user catch should have to do the catch motion like you have to on defense, that's the only way it's fair.

I don't like the stuck defensive playbook.
I also hate the online set up. You should be able to see some stats on the person you are playing, whether they are a quitter or not, or is they get a lot of negative feedback.
But I gotta say, the few times I've seen clipping, it was when I was actually clipped. If the other penalties (cough, facemask, cough) worked as well as clipping, this would be an even better game.

You guys forgot Punt Blocks. and the FREAKING INSANE amount of fumbles.
And how much the game is based off speed. I realize speed is important, but so is skill.
